Under the direction of Kari Marks (middle), Cain and Ryan work with Saanich Parks and local stewardship groups to help identify and eradicate invasive plant species. They also develop management plans for individual parks to help guide restoration efforts, and give presentations to local school groups about how to stop the spread of invasive plant species.

Cain and Ryan are two of the many UVic co-op students working with local organizations to foster learning and community engagement in Greater Victoria.
