Through this program, you can hire students seeking work experience related to museum and cultural heritage, social services, emergency planning and preparedness, cross-cultural communication and more.
Biochemistry and Microbiology Co-op
This co-op program connects you with students in a wide variety of fields. These include medicine and public health, veterinary science, agriculture and horticulture, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, vaccination, fisheries and environmental protection. Many of our students are trained in laboratory research, while others are experienced out in the field.
Interested in hiring a biology major? Biology Co-op includes students in a diverse range of disciplines. These include marine biology, fisheries, forestry, resource management, pest management, environmental monitoring, wildlife assessment and tracking, botany, microbiology and genetics.
At UVic, we understand the importance of practical experience in the business world. That's why all of our business students participate in Business Co-op. Our students specialize in one of three high-demand areas: entrepreneurship, international business or services management. Many MBA students also take part in the Business Co-op program.
Chemistry Co-op connects you with co-op students trained in the laboratory with the latest equipment and methods. Our students can work in areas of environmental monitoring, quality control or research and development. Some of our employers include industrial and pharmaceutical companies, analytical companies and the government.
Earth and Ocean Sciences Co-op
EOS Co-op students work for a variety of employers, including the mining and oil industries, environmental consulting firms and government agencies. Before students arrive at your workplace, they'll usually be trained in a ten-day field school class.
Through this program, you can hire students seeking work experience related to corporate finance and governance, policy analysis for government, investment and more.
Engineering and Computer Science/Math Co-op
Are you seeking a student who specializes in electrical, computer, mechanical or software engineering, or in computer science, math or statistics? All of our engineering students are required to take part in co-op, and many computer science and mathematics students choose to participate as well.

Environmental Studies Co-op
Through this program, you can hire students seeking work experience related to climate change policy, environmental conservation, parks interpretation, social services, government research, land use planning, international development and more.
Exercise Science, Physical and Health Education Co-op
EPHE Co-op includes students who study wellness promotion, physical rehabilitation, exercise coaching and health education. EPHE Co-op is divided into two co-op programs: Kinesiology Co-op, which is optional for students in UVic?s kinesiology program, and Recreation and Health Education (RHEd) Co-op, which is mandatory for all recreation and health education students.

Health Information Science Co-op
Our co-op program connects you with students seeking real-world jobs in health care systems management. HIS Co-op students strive to leverage computer and telecommunications technology to process health care information, and to help health care professionals make effective decisions in caring for patients.
Humanities, Fine Arts and Professional Writing Co-op
HFPW co-op students are passionate about futures in communications, creativity and culture. Our talented students work for weekly and daily newspapers, book and magazine publishers, media groups, museums, galleries, cultural societies, advocacy groups and more.
UVic Law Co-op is one of the only programs of its kind in Canada. Our students work in government, private law firms, not-for-profit organizations, crown corporations and educational institutions. In your workplace, law co-op students can help write legal memos, draft legal documents, prepare legal analysis by synthesizing facts and law, and represent clients in court.
Physics and Astronomy Co-op
It's a simple calculation: physics and astronomy students + your workplace = a great co-op experience. Our co-op program connects you with students studying astrophysics, medical physics and particle physics. Some of our employers include high-tech businesses, scientific research organizations, crown corporations, and government and university research labs.
Political Science Co-op
Through this program, you can hire students seeking work experience related to corporate governance, policy research and analysis for government, program support for not-for-profit organizations and more.
