Did you know that Career Services is not just for students? We support career success all across campus by providing career development opportunities, events and connections right here on campus. You can benefit from our free services as a professor, as a UVic staff member or as an employer.

Benefit as a professor

• Want to help your students bridge the gap between the classroom and the working world? We can help you integrate career planning into your lessons.
• As a professor, you’re often students’ first point of contact when it comes to career issues. Tell your students about our many free career development services and the resources we provide to help them navigate the path after graduation.

Benefit as a staff member

• As a faculty or staff member, you’re welcome to the same free career development support that we offer students.
• Looking for career guidance or advice? Come and chat with a career educator to discuss your goals in a one-on-one atmosphere.

Benefit as an employer

• Looking for the perfect assistant to help you with teaching, lab work or research? Advertise your listing on our job board, where your job will be viewable by over 19,000 students and alumni. We can also help you hire international students who want to work on campus.
• Are you part of an off-campus organization that hires students? Want to promote your business at UVic? Check out our on-campus Co-op and Career fairs, or host an employer information session to meet students and answer questions.
• Want to share your career experiences with students? Participate in a “What can you do with your degree” session and you’ll join a panel of speakers to talk to students in your field about your transition from university to the workforce.
