Support for graduate students

What lies beyond graduate school for you? We're here to help you figure it out. You may be able to complete co-op work terms to gain experience in your field of study, and of course you have access to our full suite of career support, including meeting with career educators, attending workshops, and more.

Access resources through our Graduate Student Resource HUB

Join the online Graduate Student Resource Hub for free access to career information, services and tools especially for grad students like you!

To get access, just email careers@uvic.ca: please mark the subject as "Graduate Student Resource Hub" and include your name and student number. You can also call 250-721-8421 with your information.

In addition to the workshop slides, you'll find articles, videos and other materials to help you:

  • connect with potential employers interested in your education and experience
  • find satisfying work that uses what you've learned in grad school
  • build relationships while in grad school to support your career development
  • write a strong CV and résumé
  • develop skills that employers are looking for

Attend professional development workshops

UVic Co-op and Career works closely with MITACS's STEP Program, which offers professional development opportunities, including workshops, throughout the year. Check the MITACS workshops calendar to see what's coming up.
