Centre for Athletics, Recreation and Special Abilities: Open to all
UVic's Centre for Athletics, Recreation and Special Abilities (CARSA) provides world-class training and learning facilities for all community members, with access to athletics and recreation resources as well as specific services and research programs.
CARSA open for May 2015
UVic strives to be the best and inspire others as world-class leaders in the pursuit of excellence, discovery and diversity. CARSA brings students, faculty, staff, elite athletes and community members of all abilities together under one inclusive roof.
Its doors are open for operation on May 4 and it will impact thousands of lives every day.
This is CARSA. Join us in celebrating a landmark.
Located along Gabriola Road near the McKinnon Building, the new centre houses the UVic Vikes sports and recreation programs, as well as offices, labs and a machine shop for UVic's CanAssist, with customized technologies, programs and services for people living with disabilities.
CARSA is an inclusive, one-of-a-kind facility. It is the new home of champions, a resource for the wider community and a place where aspirations can be transformed into achievements.
It is also targeted to achieve the LEED gold standard.
