50th Anniversary Festival

50th Anniversary Signature Event

The 50th Anniversary Festival ran from September 28-29, 2012, and brought thousands of visitors to UVic’s campus to engage with over 40 events during two days of celebration. The Festival events schedule included Vikes alumni games, the Island Savings Family Zone, live music, campus open house events, a bbq, themed tours and much more! As part of the Festival, UVic hosted the first alumni Homecoming where alumni reunions, pub nights, Alumni Talks and the Vikes Retro Party engaged returning alumni. Thank you to everyone who participated during the Festival. The Festival was a collaborative effort and we’d like to thank the community, faculty, staff, alumni, retirees, students and volunteers who ensured the event was a memorable highlight of the anniversary calendar.
